Confusion

Midnight wanderings

in the sleepless city

lead to dawn awakenings.

Hints of spring slip up the nostrils

breeding drowsy imaginings.

Does the world ever nap?
We are restless, rootless….

Adrift in urban dream

that nightmare’s our expectations.
